Interview with James H. Sorenson, Jr., a banker, who shares his observations on the settlement and development of the Coastal Bend area of South Texas from 1935 to 1972. He also discusses subdivisions and residential developments, Canoe Lake Corporation, tourism, early hotels and motels, duck hunting, Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, shrimping, ship building, the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, hurricanes, community growth, local taxation, the oil and gas industry, and social activities.
